Weekend Progress

This weekend I got in some good sewing time and was excited to really make some progress on a few projects.   Especially this first one as I was able to sew all of my blocks up into the quilt top and add the necessary borders.   Now it is time to head over to the long arm.     This quilt is a fun play on the classic Lady of the Lake block and of course, I used my classic red, white, and black to give is a super modern feel.   Eeekk, I can't wait to share it later this week all finished up ;)

And then I also finished making up my blocks using Joel Dewlberry's soon to be released Florabelle line.  It is just goregous and I have has such a great time playing with these beautiful prints and colors ;)  This is a fun compilation project I am working on with Free Spirit Fabrics so I won't be able to share the finish for a bit, but when I do think along the lines of New Quilt Tutorial!!!!!

And finally, I started piecing the first few blocks for my Bella Solid Challenge quilt I mentioned on Friday.   These blocks are going to take a little while, that is for sure, but I am happy with how they are starting to come together.   And yes, I am going to keep you in suspense a little longer on how they are going to look, but don't you just think the little leftover pieces are so cute!!!

So did you get some Happy Quilting time this weekend??  Tell me about it in the comments ;)

  2. Those are fun little peeks at your projects. I look forward to getting to see more of them as they go from fabric pieces to blocks to quilt. I got just a tiny bit of sewing in over the weekend. However, I got a lot done today, so my next blog post later this week should have some nice updates. Thank you for sharing all your fun pictures. Andrea
