  4. My main sewing machine's name is Bonnie, but sometimes I call her another "b" word, when she isn't doing what I'd like. Of course that is usually because I need to give her a bit of a spa treatment. The others go by "Juki," "Little Brother," and "Grandma's."

  14. My main (oldest) machine is a Kenmore, so of course its name is "Ken," which fits because it's just a plain, tan, all metal (read "heavy") workhorse that I've had for almost 40 years. But this summer I got a used Pfaff and she is so pretty (pink and white) that I had to name her "Barbie."

When my daughter found out how much it was she said "mom, you could buy a diamond with what you spent on the machine!" I'm not quite sure she is correct, but that's how it got its name!
