hi - I have never lived on a farm but visit one across the street to get eggs and feed the goats.
ReplyDeleteI would love feeding and loving on the animals every day!
ReplyDeleteI follow FQS on all social media
ReplyDeleteAs a kid I used to say I wanted to be a farmer! If I worked on a farm, I'd tend to the animals. And garden.
ReplyDeleteI grew up on a dairy farm in southern Minnesota. Farm chores are hard work. The chore I liked best was feeding the calves.
ReplyDeleteI'd volunteer to feed the chickens! and pick vegetables!
ReplyDeleteI follow FQS on Bloglovin, and you tube.
ReplyDeleteI follow Fat Quarter Shop on FB and get their newsletter.
ReplyDeleteI follow FQS on Facebook and Instagram.
ReplyDeleteI grew up on a truck farm, and I really didn't have a favorite chore. LOL I didn't mind picking up the plums the birds pecked because we could eat all of those we wanted.
ReplyDeleteI would like to work in the garden and prepare fresh meals for everyone on the farm
ReplyDeleteI follow FQS on FA, Instagram and Piniterst, Youtube and their blog. I also subscribe to the Sew Sampler and Batik FQ clubs
ReplyDeleteI read a book about "Yarn Farming" once and it was amazing. They raised sheep for yarn production but it was a small scale, mom and pop type business so they kept samples from each fleece and dealt with like breeding for the right wool and such, crazy awesome. I would just like hanging out with the sheepies.
ReplyDeleteI follow the FQS on Inta I think.
ReplyDeleteI'd feed the chickens. We have had chickens, and they are so much fun! They love treats, and will follow you around if they see you have some!
ReplyDeleteI follow FQS on FB, IG, YT, email, more
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid we visited family on a farm and got to feed the baby cows with GIANT baby bottles. They were so cute.
ReplyDeleteWeve had chickens, dogs and cats. I love just watching the chickens. Theyre like lil ol ladies.

ReplyDeleteIt would be so difficult to pick just one chore. I've wanted to live on a farm in the country since childhood. I would pick anything to do with caring for the animals prob horses and chicks first but a second favorite would be working the garden...enjoying the results of working and tending to the plants.
ReplyDeleteI get FQS newsletters and follow their blogs

ReplyDeleteI love cows so I would like to feed them.
ReplyDeleteI follow FQS on bloglovin and instagram
ReplyDeleteI'd like to can the fruits and vegetables, make the cheese, butter, and soap, and tend the garden.
ReplyDeleteApparently gathering eggs is a favorite chore, but I'd rather do something in the house. Problem is, most everything you do on the farm is high volume. I like to can and make jellies and things, but a whole farm-size batch? No way. I enjoy collecting the mail, but with the box down on the road and bad weather not a rarity, I don't think I'll volunteer for that either. Everything you do on the farm is just so much work. I think I'd volunteer to be the old grannie in the rocker knitting socks.
ReplyDeleteI follow FQS via email, Facebook and Instagram.
ReplyDeleteI'd love anything to do with chickens from feeding them to collecting eggs!
ReplyDeleteI loved gathering eggs on my grandparents farm!
ReplyDeleteI did. I grew up on a farm in Apple Valley CA. We had both outside chores and inside chores. On the inside: I loved to help mom wash clothes and hang them on the line, can or own grown food, and sew (yes, this was one chore, sewing rips and lost buttons etc. I did sewing for fun at other times and mom taught me how to quilt) On the outside: feeding and watering the animals, brushing my horse and cow, riding my horse so she stayed in shape (we barrel raced) walking my cow so she learned my commands (we won first place in CA, NV AZ the work payed off) I enjoyed collecting eggs and feeding the chickens (not so much the cleaning though) I enjoyed keeping the pigs pens clean, but with sand from the desert it wasnt a difficult task. We had other chores also, but these were my favorites. quilting dash lady at comcast dot net
