Terrific Tuesday Giveaway Day - Moved to Thrusday :)

 I know you are all anxious to see who the winner of the Fairy Dust Fat Quarter Bundle by Tula Pink from Fat Quarter Shop is, but it is going to have to wait.    Everything is all good, I am just still out of internet range at the moment.   So Terrific Tuesday Giveaway Day is being moved to Thursday this week!!!   See ya then ;)   

 

Bountiful!!!

  Today is the final release of the Bountiful Quilt Along and I am just sew excited to see everyone's quilts!!  This is Fat Quarter Shop's 10th Annual Charity Quilt Along and they are always my favorite :)  And I can't believe we have already made it to the finish!!!  You can find the  Patterns Here.   Didn't it just turn out so cute!!!

I used Meadowmere for by Gingiber for my quilt and I am just thrilled with how it turned out.   I just love the colors in this line.   The prints are beautiful, and the pop of metallic are just awesome!!! I loved this fabric so much, I wanted to use every last scrap, so I added the piano keys border and square in a square corners.   I think it just frames it up perfectly, and I love seeing every last bit of fabric used ;) 

When it came time to quilt mine, I decided on mixing up all my favorites in a fun all over design.  So there are echoed paisleys, swirls, curls, and large pebbles.   I love all of the texture it gives to the quilt!!   And all the curves just soften it up so much, so pretty!!   And of course, 402 So Fine for the win!!!

I have had so much fun participating in this Bountiful Quilt Along!!!  And I am so glad to be a small part in helping such an amazing cause ;)   Yu can still   download the Bountiful patterns right here and it is requested for each pattern you download to donate $10.00  to the Make a Wish Foundation :)  And I am super excited to say ,  Fat Quarter Shop's annual charity QAL has already raised over $ 60,000!!!  With Moda Fabrics and Fat Quarter Shop matching up to $30,000, there are going to be a lot of amazing wishes granted :)

Route 66 Quilt Shops !!!

 We had the wonderful opportunity to visit family in Kingman AZ a few weeks ago!!   Did you know Route 66 goes right through Kingman, AZ??   Well, we certainly got our kicks!!  

And even more fun than driving on Route 66, is stopping by the quilt shops just off of Route 66!!!  Kingman has 2 wonderful little quilt shop's!!  I visited Donna's Quilt Shop and got to sit and chat with Donna ;)  It was a wonderful visit.  

And you know I can't pass up a wall of Grunge!!!  So many beautiful colors!!! 

Then a block over I got to visit Connie's Quilter's Hide-A-Way!!  This was another cute shop, and of course, I loved that long arm's were humming away in both shops.   It is always fun to see the quilts that the locals have made.   So pretty!!!  

And this time, It was a wall of Kona Solids that had me stopped in my tracks.   I truly love how you just have so many amazing color options in the basics.   Just so great!!! 

It was such a great visit and then it was back onto Route 66 for more "Kicks" and some ice cream, because seriously, it was like 105 to 110 degrees while we were there!!!
