And the notions that  Fat Quarter Shop sent along this month are just so great!!!! It was fun to see what Spooky Box Leather Rotary Sheath.  That will so come in handy.   And the matching Boo-Tiful Bobbin Toppers are just so cute.  I just love the tin they come in as well, so pretty!!    And the Pumpkin Trim will just be so cute for wrapping up a Halloween Quilt.  And the bonus Jack O Lantern Candle is already making my kitchen smell like Halloween  Goodness!!! ;)

Home Town Holiday Sampler QA - Week 6

We now find ourselves at Week 6 of the Home Town Holiday Sampler Quilt Along hosted by Fat Quarter Shop and we sewed something new and fun this week!!   A Home and Trees, so so cute ;)   This week we are making the Home Block, 2 Inner Trees, 2 Middle Trees, and 2 Outer Trees!!! And those Inner Trees sure have a lot of tiny triangles in them :)  So much fun!!!

For my Sampler I am using Sweetwater Christmas Prints from several lines paired with a POParazzi Grey Background.  This is so exciting because now with these blocks done, and all the star blocks done, we get to move onto the pieced letters of the sampler.  I am so excited!!!

And that is it for Week 6 of of the Home Town Holiday Sampler Quilt Along!!!   You can make your own Home Town Holiday Sampler as well, you just need Lori Holt's  Home Town Holiday Sampler Book!   You can see the complete schedule here and check out all the details here and come quilt along ;)

See ya next week with more Home Town Holiday Sampler goodness!!  Seriously, I can't wait to start on the letters!!!  I might even get a little ahead ;)

Vintage Sunburst - Month 10 - Quilt Top

It's Month 10 of the  Vintage Sunburst Quilt Along hosted by Fat Quarter Shop and I am so happy!!!  This month I pieced all of my 25 Sunburst Blocks together and they are just so great :)  They colors are just so happy making I can't help by smile every time I see it hanging in the "to be quilted" closet ;)   Can you believe it, we are almost done with the  Vintage Sunburst Quilt Along!!

And ya, I just can't keep it a secret with the swirl.   It is just so much fun to share ;)   I used 6" and 12" Paper Piecing Pads with Blossom Basics  divided into Warm Tones and Cool Tones.   Aren't they just so fun to see the two blocks finally come together!!!  Eekk, I just love it.   Now I just need to decide how I am going to quilt it , it needs something super fun to go with all those happy bright colros ;)

And we will see if I get all of the leftover pieces sewn into leaders and enders to make a back.  I have started to work on it, but the pile is huge!!!!

It is probably a little late to join the QAL, but you can always make your own Vintage Sunburst Quilt with the free pattern for this Quilt Along  here ;)   It is such a great way to work on your paper piecing skills!!   I have just loved this fun challenge!!   And I so can't wait to share the quilt all quilted and bound and finished next month ;)

September Sew Sampler!!

Was it just me, or did we blink and September was over!!!   I have been doing a lot of secret "market sewing" the last little bit so it makes everything just fly by.  But, along with the end of September was my September  Sew Sampler Box !!!   And I just finished making my Sew Sampler block so now I can share ;)   The theme for September was All The Classics and it so fits it's name.  I just love it!!!

I love, love, love this Denim and Daisies Fabrics from Fig Tree Quilts!!!  I love all of the shades of blue, and the pop or orange, amazing!!! And the Reflections quilt is so cute, but I have to admit, I already got some other Denim and Daisies precuts, so I have to decide now if I want to make a bigger quilt with all of them together ;)

And the notions this month are super classic!!!  I absolutely love Creative Grids Rulers, and the 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" is a favorite size!!!   I am excited to add it to my collection of Creative Grid Rulers ;)   And I love me some Aurifl Thread, and this is such a perfect neutral color for pieing with.   And I haven't tried a Hot Ruler before but I am excited to try it out ;)

And like I said at the beginning of the post, I just finished piecing my Pieceful Basket block.   Sadly, one of the yellow fabric triangles just so happened to be on a pink rose, but I think it still works.   Got to love this  Kona Lime Background  and Milk and Honey fabrics :)   I think the grey basket print might be my favorite in the line ;)

And that is September Sew Sampler Box.

And before you know it, Octobers' box will arrive!!!

Happy Quilting!!!
