It Starts - Block-A-Palooza!!!!

Okay, so now begins my WIP that will last until the end of March, which is a long time for me to be working on one project :)  But I am so super excited about this.  If you haven't heard of Block-A-Palooza, it is a quilt-a-long but there are 18 designers of the one quilt.  Oh, and ya, they happen to be some of the biggest names in the virtual quilting world.  Check it out :)  I have been anticipating this for the last month.  I decided that this was the perfect candidate to knock off my "using up some of my stash" goal.  I grabbed the following prints out of my stash to rock the Block-A-Palooza :)

And yes I took this picture on my treadmill. I figure since it never gets used to run on it might as well be good for something :)

And here is Block One designed by John of Quilt Dad.  He calls it Flying Over Fields.  I am loving the way this block turned out.

I am super excited for this Quilt-A-Long and excited to share you the Work In Progress along the way :)

And a final reminder . . . Check back tomorrow for my Newest Moda Bake Shop Tutorial.  I can't wait!!!

  1. Too funny - using your treadmill for quilty photos. That's great!! And good for you, shopping in your stash. I'm trying to do that more myself. Happy WiP Wednesday!

And your Moda Bake Shop quilt will be offered as a kit from Burgundy Buttons? That's exciting! And so tempting!! (I saw a mention of that on Kate Spain's blog.)

  10. You should get a bowflex, they work great for not only hanging clothing to dry, but for draping freshly ironed fabric on when prepping for a new quilty project.
At least, that is what I use mine for!
Have fun in your quilt along project!
