Color Options

So this month for my Beejeebers group I have been asked to make a Cherie's Carpenter Star block.  I made one of these earlier this year for Cherie, who is in my other bee :)

But in the bee we are making it in now, we get to choose our own fabric. We were asked to use 2 different colors and to use brights.  So I went to my little fat quarter stash and tried to decide what qualified as "bright".  Here's what I cam up with.  Now . . .  I need your help, because I ca't decide.   What grouping do you like best??

1 - Denyse Schmidt's Sugar Creek and Winding Road mixed with some Daisy Mae
2 - A little Joel Dewberry's Heirloom mixed with some Kate Spain's Central Park
3 - Denyse's Good old Flea Market Fancy mixed with some Jenean Morrison's Power Pop
4 - My beloved Secret Garden from Sandi Henderson mixed with some Salt Air by Cosmo Cricket
5 - Some Katie Jump Rope from Denyse  mixed with some fun dots that sadly, I don't know how designed.

So help a girl out because having options can really stump me big time :)

  2. Either three or four read bright to me! Great block.

  3. I opt for three. Love the combination :-)

  4. I really love four! Especially because I wouldn't have thought to pair those two together but they look great.

  5. I love this block, but have yet to make one myself. I really like #3, but I'm thinking that all of them will make for beautiful blocks!

  6. I might be against the grain but I love 1 and think 5 would be great too :)

  7. 4--they are bright but also are "contrasting" colors that do not overpower the senses.

  8. I kind of like the green print in group 3 with the purple print in number 4. Just to make this a bit more difficult! Sorry!

  9. I like either of the prints in #1 with the gold in #4.

  10. I like the purple in 4 with the green in 3!

  12. I think #s 3 & 4 fit the description of "bright" best. Of those, my vote is with #3. (#2 is my very favorite, but I don't think it is quite "bright".)

  13. they are all great groupings. but i think i would choose 3 or 4. but i also like the purple in 4 and the green in 3 together.

  14. I like 1, particularly the orange. To make it really bright I think I'd use the orange with one of the yellows.

  15. Obviously, you can't go wrong with any of them -- but I'd choose #5.

  16. I would go for the fourth option. Nice contrast and lovely and bright.

  17. The comments are all across the board but I'd go with 1 or 5.

  18. Hey Melissa,

Just for the heck of it - show one or two options of Christmas fabrics, pretty please??

  19. Oh fun! 1 is my favorite and 4 is my second choice.

  20. My eye is immediately drawn to #3 because it's got complementary colors so the highest contrast, while still being bright. With that said, #4 and #5 also qualify as bright. #2 is maybe a bit too light, and #1, the flower print is a bit too dark.

    They're all beautiful, though!

  21. I like pink and green, so #3 is an easy choice.

  22. #2 is my pick for your block. Love the colors!!

  23. Four hits me as the one I would do...

  24. I like 2 and 3. I would take the pink or green from 3 and use it with the color that it goes with in 2

  25. I actually like one big print from option2 and one small print from option one. The purple fabric from option2 is lovely.

  26. I like 4 the best... or the purple from 1 with the purple from 4

  27. I think that 2 suits the swoon block the best - it's one of the few blocks that can really shine with a larger print ... but they are all lovely.

  28. I like #3 best. I'm a huge fan of coral-y pinks with lime-y greens.

  29. Throw them all up in the air and the first 2 that fall together are your choices! Lots of luck!

  30. I like group 1. My second choice would be 4.

  31. I like the pink and black/white together of your block.
#2 or #3 would be my pick :o)

  32. This is one of my favorite blocks-put in the center of a round robin many years ago! I would go with #4 as I think it would make the design POP!

  33. I think #3 caught my attention the quickest.

  34. #3 but I am a sucker for pink! Lol so I would have chosen whatever group you put that into! Lol
