Scrappy Sappy

I love sewing scrappy.  I find it so much fun to dig through my bins of scraps (which are way to full by the way) and pull out this and that.  Which each print I pull I reminisce what I made with it before.  It is like flipping through a scrapbook. Sewing scrappy always seems to turn into a trip down memory lane.  And yes, I will admit, sometimes I get a little emotional.  (It really doesn't take much to make me cry, honestly :)    Please tell me I am not the only one that gets sappy over scraps.

Today's plans . . . mix a scrappy rainbow with some scrappy low volume.  I have been a little slow on the whole "low volume" band wagon, so I am excited to give it a shot.  Now I just need it to be nap time so I can go play with all this scrappy goodness :)

  1. I am currently making my own stash busting quilt and going through the fabric is just like turning pages of a photo album, it's funny how I can recall what I made and who it was for with each fabric....and some of the fabrics are over 15 years old!!! I have waaayyy tooo many scrap fabrics and will need to make a couple of quilts before I even put a dent into my stash, but that's a good thing :)

  4. I love going through my scraps and so does my toddler! I'd love to do something low volume but my scraps and stash are mainly brights. I guess that gives me an excuse to go buy fabric :)
