Free Patterns - Hang Time and Peaks and Valleys

So a little while back I was asked by the wonderful folks at Camelot Fabrics if I would be interested in creating a few designs for them to highlight on their blog and Crafts Page.  Like most of us pattern and tutorial writers, I have so many designs floating around in my head or in sketch pads but  I just don't have time to make them all.  So this was a win win.  I got to make the designs and have them written into free patterns for all of you . . . and I can make the quilts another day ;)

When I was trying to decide which of Camelot Fabrics lines I wanted to play with I was instantly drawn to their wonderful new solid colors.  I know, I have been on a solids kick lately ;)  And I had a design that has been waiting in my sketch book for a while now that was just perfect for these solids.  Put the 2 together and you have Hang Time!!  Isn't it so fun :)

Hang Time finishes at 75" x 75" and you can find the Free Downloadable Pattern Here ;)

And the folks at Camelot Fabrics did it up in The Design Studio Collection as well.  Doesn't it look fun changed up with a black background.   You can find this Free Downloadable Pattern Here ;)

And I whipped up one more design for Camelot Fabrics.  I loved Jackie's Opposites Attract line.  I mean, who doesn't love a good black and white line ;)  I wanted to make something super classy with it so I designed this Peaks and Valley's Table Runner.   I always love the contrast of Black and White and the zig-zag design is just so fun!!

Peaks and Valley's finishes at 14" x 50" and you can find the Free Downloadable Pattern Here :)

I hope you like these designs and if you make them up I would love to see them.  You can add them to my Flickr group here or email me a pic at happyquiltingmelissa@gmail.com  ;)

And be sure to pop on over to Camelot Fabrics where you can find several pages of Free Projects!!!

Have a Happy Quilting Day!!

  3. Wondeful pattern, it looks wonderful with black as the background, I too often forget to think of how a pattern would look on a darker background cause I'm so accustomed to white, off white or at least low volume backgrounds.

  10. Great pattern! My brother-in-law is a mathematician, so I like having a range of "plus" quilt options to consider when I make them a gift. I love the colors in your first version!
