Starting a Few New

We were out of town for the Holiday weekend so I was super excited to come home to start a new project that was waiting for me and to find  fabrics for another project sitting on the doorstep!!!  So naturally, I spent yesterday pressing and doing some cutting!!!

This first new project is for my Riley Blake Design Team Tutorial and I will be sharing this one soon (like as in next week!!)  It uses Lisa Tueller's new Halle Rose line and it is absolutely gorgeous!!  I love the prints and I absolutely love the colors!! Can't wait to share more ;)

And these lovelies were waiting on the doorstep!!!  Don't you just love BasicGrey's Grunge!!!!  I was so excited to see all of these colors come together in actual fabric!!  I can't wait to get this project started.  But sadly, this is all I will be able to show for a while.  Yup, another secret project :)

So yup, I am hoping to cut into this Grunge Goodness today.  That and of course I have to finish sewing my blocks for tomorrow's QAL post ;)  What are you working on today??

  1. I am working on my Elephant Parade blocks and also doing some hand stitching on the embroidered blocks for Over the River and Through the Woods by Crabapple Hill.

  2. Yummy Grunge! I have seen Grunge paired with so many different fabrics, and it plays nicely - surprising me every time. Do you know if there is a color card out there for it? Or will it not be around forever like Kona or AMB solids? (Just working my day job today so I can buy more fabric in the future! On that note - love the Basic Shades and Halle Damask prints of the Halle Rose line and look forward to seeing what you're up to with it!)

  3. I've seen that Halle Rose line on the web, and it looks gorgeous!! How fun that you get to work on it! And it looks like i'm behind again on the QAL: had to go help hubby on a project at work. :-( But it was a beautiful day outside, so at least that part was good! And I got my Angela Walters thread that I won from Superior Threads, so I can't wait to actually quilt something and try it out! Thank you for hosting that!! :-) Hugs, H

  6. I used Grunge white with Maude Asbury Treelicious for a table runner and pillow. So much more interesting than a plain white.

  7. I just bought backing material for a baby quilt I made for my niece's new baby boy. I made it from shirts that belonged to grandfather and great grandfather. Not very colorful sooo I'm doing the back in RED!
