I'm In California!!!

Today I am teaching at the Glendale Quilt Guild's 36th Annual Quilt Show and I am so excited!!!  It was such an honor to be asked to come and be one of their teachers for this amazing show ;)

I am teaching my Wonky Irish Chain pattern this morning and then I will be teaching my In Your Neighborhood pattern this afternoon.   I just love teaching and these 2 quilts are so much fun to make, I just know we are going to have so much fun in class ;)

This is my first time teaching out of state and I have to say, I was a little surprised at how much different the packing was.  I normally just load up my car with boxes and ironing boards, cutting mats and my break outs.  This time I had to be much more methodical about it ;)   First went all my patterns and books, heaviest on the bottom right ;)  Then I went to add my step out boards and found some of them were to big.  A little rearranging and trimming down, and they went in next, packed between the quilt.

And then last, but certainly not least, a change of clothes ;)  Funny how it seemed like the least important thing to go in there ;)  Good thing my husband had the foresight to get me new luggage for Christmas as he knew I was going to be traveling this year.  I never would have fit all of this in my old suitcase ;)

I will be back Monday with lots of pictures of my little teaching excursion ;)

Have a Happy Quilting Weekend :)

  3. You know, eventually, I'm going to take a class from you. I don't know when, but I will. :-) It's not even like I'm that far, being up in SLC. Oh well. Sometime...
