Check . . . What's Next

You know that feeling when you get to cross a huge "To Do" off your list . . .well, I am so floating around with that feeling this morning ;)    This weekend I finished another one of those Super Secret Projects that I have been working on like crazy for the last 2 weeks.  Of course, I can't show much now, but I can show that I used fabrics from these 3 new Moda lines coming out this fall.   Prairie by Corey Yoder, Tucker Prairie by One Canoe Two, and Meadowbloom by April Rosenthal!!!  These three lines are all so fabulous and can I just say how excited I am with how fantastically they came together in the project.  So fun!!!

And don't you know it, the second I crossed that secret project off my list . . . I was itching to start another.   And I am so super excited to start this project!!!!   I picked up a Pie Making Day  Fat Quarter Bundle by Brenda Ratliff for RJR Fabrics at Market and I have been just so impatiently waiting to cut into it.  So it couldn't wait a second longer.   Aren't those colors and prints just so fabulous!!!   Can't wait to start stitching these up.

So what are you planning on working on this week???

I hope it is something that makes you Happy Quilting!!!

  1. With school being out a few weeks, I have been able to quilt again. Yay! I have been working to complete the top and back of a quilt I call "Waves". My sister-n-law saw a twin size quilt of waves in various shades of blue and asked, back in December/January, if I could make something similar in a queen size. I bought the fabric in January/February and during some of our snow days, I began the cutting. Then it sat there for three months. This morning I finished sewing up the backing and making the quilt label. Now to figure out how the quilting designs. I also feel like I accomplished something today. Nothing feels better than completing a project....unless it is starting a new one.

I've been working on hand work this week - in between some golf and some grandma time. A week off work is such a blessing!

  9. OOh I cannot wait to see what you make with "Pie Making Day"! I ordered those the second they were available. I saw that collection and fell in love immediately. Mine arrived last Saturday and I've seriously been considering buying another fat quarter bundle already, even though the first hasn't been touched.
