Sorry things have been so quiet around here this last week. We had one last little family hurrah and headed up to Salt Lake for a few days to visit family and friends and do some last minute school shopping, which was aptly timed as school starts tomorrow ;) And I was super excited to visit the newest member of our family, little Eleanor who was born last week!!! She is my twin sister's 4th little one and she is just a doll!!! What a precious little angel :) I could have snuggled her all day, what a cutie!!!
And the rest of the time we were enjoying making wonderful memories with family and friends. We mostly sat around and talked, and laughed and ate ;) Which always tend to be my favorite times!!! The kids loved spending time in the pool with our long time friends from Indiana who now live in Salt Lake. It is always so great to get to catch up and see how much our families are growing!!! What an amazing long weekend, just the perfect way to end off the summer and head into a new School Year!!!!
And with school starting, you know I am getting all kinds of excited about the increased sewing time I will suddenly have each day ;) I was catching up on social media this morning and saw that Moda's Project Jelly Roll day is only 1 month away!!! I was so excited, I ran down to my sewing room and picked out a Jelly Roll Project that I can sew on Sept 16th ;) I have always wanted to make a baby size version of my Petal Pop pattern and I think Lella Boutiques new Farmer's Daughter line will fit it just perfect!!! Now just to wait until Sept 16th to sew it, I make no promises ;)
I hope you have had a very Happy Quilting weekend!!! I'll be back tomorrow with TTGD :)
Looks like a wonderful weekend! New babies are Soo precious! I'm currently up, it's 1am here in Aus with my number 5!
ReplyDeleteHow lucky your visit aligned with the open days. It would've been awesome to see the new MTC!
Farmer's Daughter is my favorite new line coming out! And your Petal Pop pattern is my favorite of all of your patterns. This quilt is going to be a winner!!
ReplyDeleteDoes petal pop require a specialty ruler? Really pretty.
ReplyDeleteHI Marcia, Petal Pop does not require a specialty ruler. It's jelly roll friendly and goes together really easily ;)
DeleteSounds like a wonderful end of summer trip! Those new baby snuggles must have been soooo delightful :)
ReplyDeletecute pattern
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful family gathering. Great memories indeed.
So glad you could sit around and talk, Those are the very best times with family and beloved friends
I think Petal Pop is my favorite of all your patterns. I was tempted to buy it, but then realized I ALREADY HAVE IT!! I might make it for the JR QAL too!
ReplyDeleteSweet name for a sweet baby.
