  1. The last kit I worked on was a kit for a clutch. Before that it was a set of It's a Boy and It's a Girl kits.

  2. The last kit I completed was a Halloween witch wall handing that was a Row by Row kit from Mt. Holly Quilts in New Jersey. It was paperpieced, and easy peasy. And I completed it with quotes from Shakespeare's MacBeth.

  10. The last quilt I made from a kit was about 10 years ago. It was Amy Butler prints and the kit was made up by a local quilt shop. I fell in love with the prints and I liked the fact that they all coordinated beautifully and saved me the job of picking out all those fabrics! I could just buy the kit & go home to start cutting & sewing :)

  90. I have never made a kit, some really fascinate me, but I kinda of feel like it is cheating, and I should be my own creative self-but that could change some day

    ReplyDelete
  91. The last kit I worked on was very weird. I won it at a quilt show. When I got home, I found that there were plenty of pre-cut pieces but no directions. I fiddled with the pieces and devised my own pattern to use them. However, one piece defied me. It was a huge half square triangle (18" on the right angle sides). That triangle was a vibrant pink fabric that was not used in any of the other pieces. I decided it could find a home in some other project.
