  32. I have made many jelly roll race quilts using red white and blue jelly rolls for Quilts of Valor. I cut out large stars (two in each color) and randomly sewed them down whilst longarming the quilts! Fast, easy & fun!

  171. yes! I’ve made one from 2 1/2” strips I cut myself. I had a bundle of 1/4 yard fabrics I’d bought by mistake, meaning to buy fat quarters. So I cut strips from the odd skinny 1/4 yard pieces. Still have another set, in fact. I gave the quilt to my brother-in-law for Christmas when I picked his name. He loves it.

  173. Not sure that it qualifies for a jellyroll race quilt, but I made a baby quilt with a blue batik jellyroll. I used the darker shades for the ocean and lighter blue ones for the sky. Then I applique boats on it.
