Dessert Sampler - Block 2

I am getting all packed up to head up to the Utah Quilt Guild's Quilt Fest Retreat for some fun days of teaching and I am so very excited!!!  But of course, with all the fun, there is also some prep work ;)   And it made last week a little crazy getting ready for it, read new pattern to soon be released ;)    But I am thrilled that with all of that fun crazy prep,  I also managed to squeeze in a little laid back piecing and finished my second block of the Dessert Sampler!!!  Isn't it just so fun with all of that pink and red Figgy goodness!!!

And I have to say, I am so happy that I started this project and am enjoying it as a Long, Long, Term project.   It is nice to just have no deadline and to just sew on it when I need a break :)   I cut out Block 3 as well this weekend, so I am all set with that.   And this block has purple!!!  Yippee!!!

So how about you???  Do you have a super Long-Term project you pull out when you just need things to slow down a bit???

  2. I have a star quilt I work on that way which is a diamond, English paper piecing project. I always pull it out when I want to clear my head! Love your new block!
