  8. My Virginia bluebells are blooming for the first year ever! The daffodils are finished while the tulips are in their glory. We're having a very happy spring in Northern Virginia!

  9. We have had some warm days in the upper 70's and low 80's but the last couple of days it has been in the 50's and 60's. Everything in my yard is blooming, the dogwoods, azaleas, irises, and the peonies are budding out. I love spring except for the pollen.

  20. I love LouLou's bolt ends. Sometimes that's all I buy. Everyone thinks I have so much fabric because the bolt ends add variety to my quilts.

  29. Spring keeps teasing us here. It is warm for a couple of days, then turns back to winter. We had snow on Sunday (no accumulation, though!) and today it is supposed to be in the 80s.

  50. Here in Connecticut, we woke up to below freezing temps today....but the daffodils have opened, the Peonies stalks are poking through the ground and the Forsythia bushes are showing signs of yellow.It is a gorgeous sunny and bright day here...Spring has definitely sprung.

  171. Winter has hung on far too long in my neck of the woods and has overstayed her welcome. Hubby and I decided to head out west (to Hawaii) to get some warmth! We leave on Monday and it will be sad to go back to wearing coats and long pants again. duchick at gmail dot com
