Bloom-Topia Quilt Along - Release 11 - Quilt Top!!!

It's July 1st and I am so excited for today!!! I have been waiting for it for a long time!!! Today is the 11th release of the Bloom-Topia Quilt Along hosted by the Fat Quarter Shop and we are putting the quilt top together!!!!! So, so, so excited :)

Obviously, my layout is very different from the original. So for my version of the Quilt Top here is what you need to Cut :

Print Fabrics:

(176) 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" Squares - Label A

(4) 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" Squares - Label B

(4) 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" Rectangles - Label C

Background Fabrics:

(20) 2 1/2" x 12 1/2" Rectangles - Label D

(2) 2 1/2" x 20 1/2" Rectangles - Label E

(3) 2 1/2" x 42 1/2" Rectangles - Label F

Cut (24) 2 1/2" x WOF Strips - Sew the Strips End to End - Cut the Following Pieces from the Strip

(2) 2 1/2" x 46 1/2" Rectangles - Label G

(2) 2 1/2" x 54 1/2" Rectangles - Label H

(2) 2 1/2" x 58 1/2" Rectangles - Label I

(2) 2 1/2" x 82 1/2" Rectangles - Label J

(2) 2 1/2" x 86 1/2" Rectangles - Label K

(2) 2 1/2" x 90 1/2" Rectangles - Label L

(2) 2 1/2" x 94 1/2" Rectangles - Label M

Sew the Quilt Top Together according to the below Diagram. Start from the center 4 Blocks and work outward adding Borders. Add the Side Borders first and then Top and Bottom Borders.

And that is all there is to it!!! Isn't that just so fun!!!!

There are links at the end of this post for all of the alterations on blocks ;) I am using a Breeze Fat Quarter Bundle by Zen Chic for Moda Fabrics with Gris Grunge as the background!!! And there are still a few Bloom-topia Quilt Kits and Backing Sets available if you want to make yours like the original ;)

And like always, Fat Quarter Shop has made an awesome You Tube video tutorial that walk you through the steps of the original layout. There are some great helpful hints and you can see it put together step by step!!!
