I had to let go of my perfectionism and say that finished is better than perfection. I will lose a point of two but after ripping out three times and restitching I think I can live with that.

ReplyDeleteI'm probably the last quilter on earth to learn about the Simple Corner Ruler. It was mentioned in the fabric procurement (first step) of Bonnie Hunter's current Mystery Quilt. I checked it out at her shop and watched a couple of videos on it. Many quilter's love it. I can see why it would be better than measuring and marking if you had a lot of corners to do!
ReplyDeleteMy husband tried to get a mail-in ballot but it never arrived. He was very anxious about being able to vote. I learned that those large ledgers that they ask you to sign at the polls has a record of whether you were sent a mail-in ballot! He wasn't and he was able to vote!

What I learned last week....I think I'm done fixing wedding dresses. In our church we dont do trains and keep our dresses modest. Whenever Im asked to fix these, kinda wrecks my life until its done. Too stressful.

ReplyDeleteI stopped at the quilt shop to buy more fabric for binding, a fabric I purchased there. Of course, they no longer had that fabric. But they had some other wonderful ones and many on sale at -40%. But could I think of what fabrics I needed for backings or for other upcoming quilts? No!
