My favorite part of shopping there is the owner Rhonda and her other employees. She goes above and beyond for her customers and will always stop what she's doing to help you pick a fabric or answer any questions. I also enjoy her retreats!

ReplyDeleteBefore I lost my husband, my favorite thing to do when I was alone was to stay in my sewing room and not worry about cooking or any household things. Now I'm alone all of the time basically. I do stay in my sewing room a lot, but I also have to tend to lots of stuff I never had to worry with.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing to do when I'm alone is sit outside by the fire pit with a glass of red wine in one hand and a piece of dark chocolate in the other. Just sit there feeling the warmth of the fire, enjoying the tastes of the wine and the chocolate, listening to the birds sing, and deep-breathing the wonderful cool air. It is so-o-o relaxing!
ReplyDeleteWell, I visited Olive and Evie's shop, but I didn't make it past the clearance section before I had to remind myself that I'm poor and check out before I added anything more to the cart! The good news is that I was able to find four fabrics - in just the right shades - that I've been looking for for more than two months now.
ReplyDeleteWhen I am alone I love to go thru my stash and dream of what I want to make next. I like to put colors together and spread them all over the floor. Of course I also like going shopping and buying the new fabrics. I love fabric. I have never visited Olive and Evie's shop but I am going there right now.

ReplyDeleteWhen I'm alone (which is almost never now that we're retired...I now know what my grandmother went through when they retired!) I love to put my music on and crank it up a bit. It's not loud, but I'm the only one who loves music.
