  19. I have often heard these sayings and now have first-hand knowledge of their truth: "A stitch in nine saves time" and "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.' Some yard work got away from us this spring and how I wish it hadn't! Thanks for offering the giveaway.

  25. SO...after being too scared to ever try free-motion quilting, I took the plunge and am quilting feathers!! I'm so excited!!! They're not perfect, but they're perfectly gorgeous to me!!!!😍

  32. I've learned that the car window heat reflector shades really do make a difference! It has been unusually hot (99+) here and the new parking at work is not shaded. First day without the shade I couldn't touch the steering wheel it was so hot and it took forever for the car to cool down. Now that I have one, it is much better!

  57. I'm on vacation and my brother-in-law told me about an app called Merlin that helps id birds by their sound. Can't wait to try it.

  58. Today I learned that if you have a quilting ruler with grips on one side to keep it in place--you have to place the ruler with the grip side down on the fabric!!! It doesn't work upside down!!
