Sewing Along with the Dragon Fruit BOM!!!

So if you have been following along for a while, you know that I am working on my Paper Piecing skills.  Hence the Vintage Sunbust QAL :)   Well, that QAL will be coming to a close soon, and I have really enjoyed having a paper piecing project each month to work on.  So I decided, why not join another :)   Especially when the new BOM is so, so pretty!!!   So I'm jumping in to the Dragon Fruit Block of the Month hosted by Fat Quarter Shop ;)

I mean, how can you not want to sew with all of this gorgeous Tula fabric!!!   And you know, I am just super excited about how much purple is in this quilt ;)  Each month, we will be making a group of paper pieced blocks using the exclusive Dragon Fruit Paper Piecing Pads.    I am just so excited!!

I don't know if you remember, but I planned to make a quilt of a similar idea way back here, but it never happened as I discovered paper piecing wasn't great for leaders and enders.  So when I saw this BOM, I knew it would be just perfect for a remake of that original plan.  I am also debating about adding a scrappy version of Dragon Fruit (because I so need to do some scrap busting!!!) but  I will wait and see how much time the Tula Version takes first :)

So do you have a desire to work on your paper piecing skills as well??  If so, this would be a great Block of the Month to join in with me!!!  The fun starts in October and goes until June 2025.  I can't wait to get started on all of this Paper Piecing in lovely Tula Goodness!!!

And now it just makes me wonder??  What are your feelings about paper piecing.  I can truly admit, I was not a huge fan when I first started it.  But I have done more projects, I am starting to like it more and more, especially when I can "chain piece" my paper Piecing.  Then it is super fun!!!   So how about you???
