Haven Charity Quilt Along - Part 1

The Haven Charity Quilt Along with Fat Quarter Shop has officially started!!    This is the  13th annual Charity Quilt Along benefitting Make a Wish.    The Haven Quilt featuires Lella Botique's new True Love fabric line and there are kits available here.  I am using the colors of the kit as an inspiration and sewing my blocks with Grunge Basics   This first release consists of two sets of blocks and you can find the Pattern for them Here :)   (And yes, the pattern is free, but it is always good to CDonate Here for this Charity QAL)

The first set of blocks to share is the Haven Star Blocks!!  Aren't these so cool in the way they changed the colors on the diagonal.  It really plays into the overall design of the quilt.   And these were so fun to make!!  Just four of these, but they are also, much larger than you would guess, 12" finished,  which is always fun to do some large piecing!! 

And next are the Hideaway Blocks!!    And yes, these are basically 12" finshed Half Square Triangle blocks.  Again, they play in to the quilt design super cool!!  But I do ust love making some large easy piecing, it goes so quickly ;)
