Jolly Tree Farm Mystery QAL - Week 4

 It's Week 4 of the Jolly Tree Farm Mystery Quilt Along hosted by Fat Quarter Shop.  All the details for this super fun mystery QAL can be found right here ;)    And here is Week 4 Release - Tree-Mendous Holiday and you can find the free pattern here.  And this tree is big enugh to be at Rockefeller Center!!  

This Mystery Quilt features Sherri and Chelsi's new Christmas line Pontsettia and Pear and there are still a few kits available here.  I am using a Cozy Wonderland layer cake by Fancy That Design House.   This weeks block had more of those red stars, I am getting so good at piecing those little guys!!     I had a lot of fun picking out random fabrics for the tree. And it went together in a snap.      Kimberly has another fantastic You Tube turorial walking you through each step of making this block.  

And there were not bonus HST's this week.  But that's okay, because I found something else fun to do.   I just felt the original tree was a little boxy, so I added some super tiny stitch and flip corners along the edges.   I love the added curves it gives ;)  

And it's not much of a mystery now that you have seen all 4 blocks.  But if you love it, you can still join in and make your own!!!   All we have left is to put the tree blocks together, so fun!! See ya next week with the quilt top finish ;)
