WIP Catch Up Edition (Sort Of)

So with the Simply Charmed Blog Hop going on around here the last couple of weeks I haven't been showing a lot of what I have been up to.  And believe me . . . Things have been hopping :)

I was asked to teach a class for a church group on basic machine care and the disappearing 9 patch block.  So, of course I had to whip up a little demo.  My daughter's teacher is expecting a little boy in the next month so I made it with her in mind.  After the class she will be the new owner of this little bubble baby boy quilt :)

And I was playing with my Slice again for the pieced backing.  I got some new design cards that I just had to try out.  So cute!!!

I had a few other finishes but I will talk about them in later posts (Like as in after my swap partner receives them :)   My daughter and I have started to sew her little quilt together.  It is slow going as she learns the feel of the machine but I am happy to say that she is having a good time with it and seems to really be enjoying herself.

And today I am hoping to get this quilted up.  It is for the pillow talk swap.  I had so much fun designing it and piecing it.  Now I just have to decide how to quilt it.  Any suggestions???

So . . . . That's a quick brush over of what I have been up to.  On to the line-up :)

  1. Dropping by through WIP Wednesday...Love your baby boy quilt and the pillow talk swap piece is fantastic. Nice job!

  2. Very cute disappearing 9 patch quilt!! And I love that pillow talk block!! So awesome!

  3. Love your boy's quilt, and the backing is great. I am always looking for pillow inspiration, and yours is perfect! Maybe some echo quilting in each white space??

  4. Wow, girl...your WIP list makes me dizzy! I love that pillow btw :D

  5. Love the pillow. I would meander quilt it, just for texture.

  6. Glad all that hopping didn't slow you down, and yay for your daughter getting going on her quilt

  7. Holy moly! That's a list! I love how you have it broken down though. Your pillow is fantastic. I'm not so good on the quilting ideas, but I have a feeling you'll come up with something awesome...just look at all your other stuff!

  8. I really like how your disappearing 9-patch turned out! Not generally my favorite pattern, but yours is lovely!

  9. Love the pillow, fantastic design!!

  10. Oh much fun stuff going on in here! Awesome quiltey goodness going on!

  11. Love the pillow design. I think I'd do dense straight line quilting following the areas in-between the striped strips - it'd make some interesting patterns :)

  12. Curves, definitely curves. Your pics are so inspiring!

  13. That pillow is adorable! What a great way of using scraps.

  14. I love all your quilts. That last quilt reminds me of a kids game. I think I'm thinking about Candy Land.

  15. I think you should pebble the white areas and straight line the strips.

Thank you so much for your sweet comments. I just love hearing from you!!
Have a Happy Quilting Day :)
