Jocelyn's new Blanket

My Sister-In-Law has an amazing talent when it comes to crocheting.  In the past she has made me slippers, hats, sweaters, and blankets. (for all my kids, mind you :)   This last weekend she was down visiting and brought this beautiful blanket for Jocelyn. Isn't it just stunning!!!  She made it in Josie's nursery colors and I can't begin to express how much I love it!!!!

Now she doesn't know I am adding this next part, but it's my blog, so I'm doing it.  This particular blanket is rather cool because not only is it an awesome gift, but it also served as her tester for her very first pattern!!!!  Yup, Charlotte, my amazing Sister-In-Law, has created a  pattern on how to make this beautiful blanket and it is available for purchase here in her cute little etsy shop, Salutations :)  So, if you find yourself wanting to try out some crocheting, it might just be perfect for you :)

And of course I had to add a shot of Josie on her new blanket.  She just loves playing with all those puffy little dots!!!  Thanks Aunt Charlotte!!!  We love it!!!!!

  8. Great blanket! And Oh I do not envy her the hours on the ruffle! (I crochet) The last one I did I did a DOUBLE ruffle on the outer edge and those two rounds took me as long as the entire rest of the afghan! LOL But it makes it look SO pretty!

  9. OOOHH! I LOVE the blanket! I'm an avid crocheter and I just had to add this to my pinboard. $3 is SO great for a price on the pattern too. Maybe some of my many pin followers will love it too and spread her around.

I am also loving your baby! She is so beautiful and looks so happy on this pretty blanket!

  17. I unfortunately do not know how to crochet. But I definitely plan to add the skill to my bucket list. Josie looks like a baby on a commercial!! What a gorgeous baby girl! The pink blanket will be a favorite as well as a keepsake.

  21. This is just gorgeous! I wish I knew how to crochet. My grandmother was very talented at it, but there is no one in the family who knows how to do it now. Maybe I'll need to teach myself! This pattern could convince me. And the photo with Jocelyn is just gorgeous :)
