  18. I have only used white and cream backgrounds but I want to try something new and go with a grey background in 2015. I also cut out an aqua background last month and I am looking forward to making that quilt in Jan.

  24. I have used black, gray and white in the background of three separate quilts. So far, I've loved the look of the white, but then, I haven't washed the project yet, so I don't know if that "love" will still be there after a washing, even with color catcher sheets involved!

  72. Thinking about your question...I think all of my quilts have different colors for backgrounds, mostly bright colors though. I guess it just depends on the quilt!

  107. I hardly ever like to make the same quilt twice, so the background fabric would depend on the fabric I have chosen for the quilt. I do have to say though I am partial to gray in lots of my quilts.

  166. White or cream has been my background choice in the past. But I made a challenge this year to try a non-white background. The pattern and fabric for a top are chosen and ready but the background is still in limbo. The "Grunge" basics have been auditioned
