Okay, so at the moment, I am probably working on 5-6 different projects, so it isn't like I need another one added to the list. But that pretty much went out the window when this fantastic bundle of
Hazel Fabric arrived at my doorstep yesterday from my good friend
Allison at Cluck Cluck Sew. It was pretty much Stop, Drop, and Sew!!!! I just love starting new projects, it is always so exciting!!
I spent the afternoon contemplating what to make with it and then I realized I already have the perfect design for these gorgeous prints that I have really wanted to make up into a quilt. That gave me the umph I needed to actually untie the bundle (we all just love to keep them bundled up nice and pretty, right ;) and by the evening I had a gorgeous stack of pressed fat quarters just waiting to be cut.
So, you can guess what I did this morning right ;) Oh ya!!! I know I am weird, but I really do love the cutting part of making a quilt ;) And aren't all of those prints and colors just fantastic!! Love this
Allison!!!
And now, I just need to cut the background and I can get to sewing . . . along with the other 5 projects ;) Gotta Love It!!! I'll be sharing more of what these Hazel Squares turn into, and hopefully sooner rather than later ;) So Fun!!!
What new projects are you starting that have got you all kinds of excited???
HI, HAVE FUN WITH HAZEL ♥

"Stop, Drop, and Sew!"...love that Melissa! :) And i can see why those wonderful fabrics inspired you to immediate action too!
ReplyDeleteOh, I can't wait to see what you make with this pile of gorgeousness! I'm hoping for sooner rather than later too!
ReplyDeleteThis line is a little out of my comfort zone with the large florals, but it's named after my grandmother. :) So, I will of course have to get me some of it! I'm not starting anything new at the moment, but you gotta grab that fabric so you have it when you're ready!
ReplyDeleteyes yes and yes.
ReplyDeletehow exciting. adding another batch to my list....
thanks for sharing the inspiration
Love those fabrics. I can't wait to see what you make with them. I actually just finished a quilt up using a pattern from Cluck Cluck Sew. The Inside Out Plus Quilt and I am now trying to finish up a Crazy Mom Quilts Birch quilt in time for my sister's birthday on May 9th. I love it when I'm not the only crazy person with all of these projects on the burners. I feel this need to rush right now too because the weather is getting nicer and pretty soon I'll want to be outside instead of inside quilting - is that a sin or what? Thanks for inspiring us.
ReplyDeleteI too love the cutting. I had a friend say she only allows herself 3 projects at a time... Not happening here, I stop drop and sew way too often :) looking forward to seeing what the fabric becomes
ReplyDeleteI love that Hazel line!! I can't wait to see what you make with it!! I am NOT a fan of cutting! I want to skip right to sewing. I am currently working on a Fig Tree pattern that I am going to teach at my LQS!
ReplyDeletePretty fabric! I am heading back out to Mom's in Wyoming in about a week and plan to start Lella Designs Lickety-Split quilt using Fresh Cut by Basic Grey. Precuts are so easy to pack for my quilty projects at Mom's!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I can hardly wait to see what you do with it.
ReplyDeleteLucky you!! That's on my wish list, so I'm excited to see what you make with it! :-) Happy sewing!! Hugs, H
ReplyDeleteI love her fabric so much! I am working on a row quilt in Wallflowers right now! :)
ReplyDeleteI am sooo with you...I have to keep a list of all my ongoing projects because I can't keep track of them all! That Hazel is gorgeous... When I love a fabric collection that much I do love the pressing and cutting because I just love handling it.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you're making with this beautiful fabric (and I can't wait to be able to get my hands on some!)
