My husband and I dressed in normal clothes that we very mussed up, my shirt was buttoned wrong, his fly was open with his shirt sticking out. There was lipstick on his collor. My hair was all messed up and he had lipstick all over his face. It was cute...

  174. When my 2 oldest girls were 3 and 4 (now 33 and 34) I made them matching Crayola Crayon outfits for halloween using 60 inch felt. I made a long tube out of red felt, and one of blue, cut out black felt lettering which I sewed on, and for the crayon points I used colored poster board to make a cone hat for them. They were so cute---a little red crayon and a little blue crayon holding hands....WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE?????

  175. My mom was ahead of the curve. I was a jack o'lantern in the 70's. The body was stuffed with crunched up newspaper (try getting enough of that now...) and I wore green tights and a green knit hat. If only she had sold that pattern then, we would have been rich, rich I tell you......

  176. I joined Kimberly's club to receive notifations and her discount coupon. I found many things that I could add to a wish list including the glow-in-the-dark Halloween fabric line....but I think my favorite is Deb Strain's Bee Creative line of fabric....I saw she has the pre-cuts.

  178. At age 8 or 9, I made my all-time favorite Halloween costume - the "snow white" witch. Carried a basket with nasty looking apples, but offered the pretty shiny one to the judges, cackling all the way. They loved it and I won the costume contest!

  179. Best costume I ever came up with was for my dughter her first year of school. Goodwill sequin dress and a homemade sash that crowned her Miss Bel Air Elementary. Teachers and principal both loved it and she wore it until the 3rd grade!

  182. My favorite costume was one we made for my sister when we were little. She and I were both little chunks and we put her in a box that was made to look like a dice...she's such a love and we had so much fun laughing about her pictures later, the two of us adorably rolly-polly and her arms sticking out of a box with big dots.

  183. When our kids were little, we always did homemade costumes. One year we dressed up my son as an old lady, and put a gray wig on him. It was hilarious and no one knew who he was.
