  7. When I started quilting before the rotary cutter. There is no comparison between scissors and a rotary cutter. The cutter is so much easier on my hands.

  31. I have so many notions I love. But I can't do without my Martelli's Sew Mate (think of a double pronged awl on steroids ;) ). I use it to help guide fabric under the presser foot, to open and close quilt basting pins, to help get seams flat, all kinds of uses. I've used a stiletto for years and this is so much better.

  48. This may sound goofy, but one of my favorite notions is a kitty cat jungle gym! I love that my kitties like to hang out with me while I work. They make me look up once in awhile and release the tension in my shoulders just by being there.
