  49. That is funny! That is how I got my 440. I went in and did a demo of there Berninas and they called and said I had won $100. When I went to get it a lady had just dropped off a well taken care of 440 so I used the 100 as a deposit!.
    Currently working on pillow cases for my daughter.

  54. I just finished up some quilt blocks for a woman in Newfoundland/Labrador who is making quilts for elders displaced by a fire in their nursing home. Heaven knows I lots of scraps to use up. I also just pieced a backing to send to her. It's my good deed for the day.

  62. I recently purchased a Creative Gris Mini Pineapple Trim Tool. I am addicted. It may take 100's if not thousands;s to make anything very big but they are addicting. I am using some of them on Soft and Stable placemats. Another new addictive find!!!!

  73. I'm trying to finish a "Shimmer" quilt to donate to MD Anderson's quilt auction to benefit ovarian cancer research and to put last years Aurifil designer blocks together and quilt to donate to hands 2 help. Both are due toward the end of May--everything else is on the back burner!

  74. Just getting home from work and,since it's raining, I have a perfectly good reason to sit and sew and not feel a little guilty not working outside. I think I may work on the quilt for the annual reunion of my m-i-l's family. The relatives buy raffle tickets for it, which helps defray the cost of the reunion.
