ReplyDeleteI was in Denver, Colorado last week. The highlight of my time was a trip to Golden, Colorado to the Quilt Museum. It is small but wonderful. They had an awesome exhibit featuring quilters from a small Asian island. If you are ever in the area I would highly suggest a stop.

ReplyDeleteI don't do much traveling because I have a farm and I'm the only one to take care of the critters! I did go to an Indian Reservation that belongs to the Makah Tribe in Washington. It is a beautiful place on the coast, with a little fishing harbor.

ReplyDeleteThe last place, outside of our area, that I traveled to was 15 days ago when we traveled 2.5 hours south to Marshfield, WI to be with our newborn son. He was transferred after birth to the nearest NICU. It certainly wasn't a pleasure trip.... (he only had to stay 24 hours, though!)

ReplyDeleteI went to Aliceville, AL. This is a small town where a POW camp was located during WWll. Today there is a museum that is well worth the visit. The USA followed the Geneva Convention and the German POWs were very well treated. Many returned to visit. Now their children and grandchildren are coming here to visit.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great give away! Last night was the first time in about a week since we have been out of town. We went to a lovely little town, Rogue River, just drove around a bit then stopped at a fabric store. Of course, I had to get a couple yards of fabulous fabrics! Then we stopped at a cafe and had a delicious dinner and drove home using the back road which follows the Rogue River and is just a beautiful drive! Have a great day and thank you for the give away!

ReplyDeleteMy last trip "away" was to Vashon Island, Washington, which is a little-known gem outside of Seattle. Can't be reached by bridge, only by ferry, which adds to the feeling of being away. The island is very charming, with a strong feeling of community. I'm lucky to have ties there.

ReplyDeleteMy last trip out of town was to NC State Veterinary Hospital for my little love Yanni puppy. His trachea collapses and he had a significant episode so we took him a couple hours there scared. But he is home safe and snuggling with me nightly!
