Can't live without my Add-A-Quarter ruler. Love it for trimming paper pieced seams but also find myself using it continually to trim any seam to a 1/4"

ReplyDeleteI have a new ruler that cuts off the corners on the diagonal for making snowball blocks. It is great! No more drawing the lines on the back of the squares with a ruler and pencil. And the trimming is done before you stitch. Great for small snowball corners.

ReplyDeleteLove these fabrics--so adorable! As for sewing notions, I got a Tucker Trimmer ruler for Christmas & it's so handy for trimming up HSTs. They come out perfect every time.
ReplyDeletemy fave is probably the silliest. To hold bindings in place while I sew, I use a combination of pins, hair clips, bobby pins,binder clips and paper clips. its the funniest thing to see a project with all the silliness around the edges.

I love my Creative Grids rulers, but am very partial to the 1 1/2 by 12 1/2 inch one. I use this all the time.

I love my June Tailor slotted cutting tool for cutting strips. It is slotted every half inch and makes cutting strips for binding quick work. I think someone else makes these now, not sure who. I've had mine for many years!

My fingertips are so smooth that I can't even make fingerprints for my professional license renewal, much less have any grip on clean, dry fabric. I wear them when cutting, piecing and quilting.
