  2. Can't live without my Add-A-Quarter ruler. Love it for trimming paper pieced seams but also find myself using it continually to trim any seam to a 1/4"

  29. My wooden seam roller. It was really for rolling wallpaper seams, but I use it many times each day when I am sewing. Great for anything that needs finger pressing and fabulous for paper piecing.

  47. I can't live without my Clover clips. I use them as pins whenever I can. I put one on the end of a row so I know which direction to press the seams toward. I use them to hold labels for block pieces. Sure beats losing pins or sticking myself with them. kthurn(at)bektel(dot)com

  55. Quilt in a Day's Sew Straight guide. Don't have to draw lines to do HST or the little triangles on a rectangle. Best investment I ever made.

  57. I use an African Porcupine quill I got in Kenya as a stiletto. Sharp as sharp can be, but nice and thin so you can use it anywhere. Can't do without it.

  80. I have a new ruler that cuts off the corners on the diagonal for making snowball blocks. It is great! No more drawing the lines on the back of the squares with a ruler and pencil. And the trimming is done before you stitch. Great for small snowball corners.

  110. I guess it would be my Corner Cut 60 -Two Tools in One by Qtools. It measures a 1.4"+, a full 1/4" and a scant 1/4" so that I can set the needle position on any sewing machine that I have.

  117. Love these fabrics--so adorable! As for sewing notions, I got a Tucker Trimmer ruler for Christmas & it's so handy for trimming up HSTs. They come out perfect every time.

  118. my fave is probably the silliest. To hold bindings in place while I sew, I use a combination of pins, hair clips, bobby pins,binder clips and paper clips. its the funniest thing to see a project with all the silliness around the edges.

  136. I love my June Tailor slotted cutting tool for cutting strips. It is slotted every half inch and makes cutting strips for binding quick work. I think someone else makes these now, not sure who. I've had mine for many years!

  168. Finger cots! I get them from the vet, of all places. My fingertips are so smooth that I can't even make fingerprints for my professional license renewal, much less have any grip on clean, dry fabric. I wear them when cutting, piecing and quilting.
