ReplyDeleteI do not normally shop at flea markets but I have a friend who is a flea market junkie! And I have many of her finds in my home. My most favorite find that she gave me is a round stained glass rose window. She also picked up old quilts that were stained and worn out that she recommended that I fold and stack on some shelves in a glass cabinet in the colors that I was using to decorate my house. No one could see the stains nor the worn areas of the quilts but the colors brought life to a bland corner.
ReplyDeleteI love the Fat Quarter Shop. In fact I placed an order with them this morning! I get their daily emails and follow Kimberly on YouTube. Would love to have that Jelly Roll. Love those colors!
ReplyDeleteKathy R.,
ReplyDeleteMy best find would be craft supplies, found in a box on the ground. There is a flea market about a 20 minute drive from my house that is open every weekend. I have been going there for over 40 years. I just love to look at everything while getting in my exercise. petuniakr@aol.com

ReplyDeleteFat Quarter Shop is great! I get emails, etc.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to a flea market in ages! There was one where I use to live and I would take the kids occasionally. They use to love to go as you never knew what would be there. Not only booths and food, but oftentimes there was entertainment. I was so broke in those days though, I can't remember a single thing I purchased there. lol
ReplyDeleteHave shopped a few but never bought much.
ReplyDeleteWhen I lived on a ranch in CA, once a year at the main fair, there was a huge flea market next to the fair. A lot of people went there, but what they seemed to bring back and show looked quite honestly like junk. No thanks. Three years ago, my husband and I went to Shipshewana, IN for vacation . They had a humungous flea market. We decided what the heck, kill some time and at the same time enjoy each others company and get our walking in. There were some nice things. There was a lot of what appeared to be just junk. My husband did buy a few things for the house. And he is still using them. quilting dash lady at comcast dot net
