In High School my best friend and I once hung out in front of the school sign and pretended to smoke cigarettes. They were CANDY cigarettes 🤣 Yeah - not much of a rebel in HS!!

ReplyDeleteI really had a great time in school. It was a small school & most of my classmates were great friends. We had an art show my senior year & I won 1st place, such a surprise. Guess that transferred to my fun times in making designs in my quilting hobby.

ReplyDeleteI hated high school but I was an overactive Girl Scout and worked summer camp. I made so many lifelong friends. Too many stories to pick just one as a favorite.

ReplyDeleteMy greatest memory of high school was becoming an exchange student and leaving for a whole year to go to Australia. I met the MOST wonderful host family, who to this day I consider FAMILY, and love dearly (and that was nearly 50 years ago!). Gave loads of speeches to groups small and large, spent a week on a sheep farm, learned to snow ski & water ski, and absolutely fell in love with Australia & its people. Deb

I attended a private boarding school and loved everything
ReplyDeleteabout it. Dorm life was wonderful as I had no sisters.
I was so insecure in high school, but in the last couple of months of my senior year I had some things happen that showed me that my classmates liked and respected me and that meant a lot.
