    I probably have seen a modern adaptation of her works in a movie, but don't know for sure.

  3. I have to say that I have not read any of the books and I don't believe I've seen any of the movies but I will certainly be checking Netflix the next time I want something to watch!

  12. Oh gosh, Jane Austen, I loved them all, so it is a tight vote between Sense and Sensibility and P & P. All of her written works are great.

  35. That’s a tough one. Watching all the movies with college roommates introduced me to Jane Austin. The BBC does an excellent job and I did read Pride and Prejudice but I like Sense and Sensibility most.

  37. Favorite Jane Austen book - Pride and Prejudice.
    Jane Austen movies watched - Becoming Jane, Emma, Sense and Sensibility, Love and Friendship
    and Pride and Prejudice ( 2005) . All are excellent.
    Looks like I should be reading more.

  44. I love Jane Austen! And it is so hard to choose a favorite. Pride and Prejudice is a favorite, in book and movie versions, but I also love Persuasion and Mansfield Park, and the Sense and Sensibility movie with Emma Thompson : )

  64. I've read and liked them all but I have to go with #1 Pride & Prejudice--the story is just so well-done--but I do really like Persuasion, too. I prefer the BBC P&P movie with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle (my daughters disagree--of course they like the newer one--Bah!) and I def like the BBC Persuasion movie ('95 w/Amanda Root). And I have to give a nod to Jeremy Northam's role as Mr. Knightly in Emma. The book Sense & Sensibility is great (Colonel Brandon!), best read while listening to the soundtrack of the movie! I'd better stop there. I could go on all day...

  72. I have read Pride and Prejudice and selected parts of Sense and Sensibility in a college literature class, but really enjoyed Price and Prejudice the best. Classic characters. Interesting dialogue. I need to read both again.
