Midnight Crossing- HQM Quilt 15

It is Week 15 of the Happy Quilting Marathon and I am keeping with the Christmas in July theme!!!  I actually have three Christmas Projects in this little marathon, and the first is this Midnight Crossing quilt!  So festive!!!

I always love making Christmas Quilts ;)     I used a favorite Merry Stars Here  Fat Quarter Bundle  by Sweetwater.  I always love Sweetwater's Christmas lines, I think it is the pop of black so fun!!!     I have sewn with countless Christmas lines by Sweetwater.  lines :) I just always love the way they turn out, and this one is no exception!!!

This Midnight Crossing pattern is actually a Halloween design by Fig Tree Quilts, but I love it in Christmas.  Isn't it funny how they almost look like present :)  I actually enlarged the block so this finishes at 92" x 92" making it a great Christmas Quilt to go on the Guest bed (which is my daughter's room that she gives up when company comes, she's so sweet that way!!!)  But it's always great when Company comes for Christmas gathering!!!

When it came time to quilt it, I decided to just go with an all over loose feather.  I just love how soft and pretty this design it, and it looks like branches of fir trees :)  And of course, I used  my favorite 402 thread so it blended just perfectly in both the black prints and the white background ;)

And now this quilt has joined my collection of Christmas quilts!!!   I don't even want to count how many there are . . . but it's all good, because  I just love that each Christmas Season we can deck the halls, the rooms, the sofa's and anywhere else I can find with Christmas Quilty Goodness  :)

And that is Quilt #15 - Midnight Crossing ;)  15 Down and only 11 more quilts to go in the Happy Quilting Marathon :)   These next few weeks are a little crazy so here is hoping I can keep up!!!!

And that is it for today, thanks for popping in to share this finish with me!!!

I hope you all have a very Happy Quilting Weekend!!

  1. I’m a Sweetwater fan also. This pattern does look great in Christmas.

  2. It looks great! I don't know how you can do this. I have so many quilt tops to be quilted, but I guess it helps to own a longarm.
