Hello Quilting Friends! Today, I am thrilled to be sharing this brand new Simply Patchwork quilt as well as a Free PDF Pattern for it!!! This quilt features Simply Country fabrics by Tasha Noel. I just love all of the shades of blue, and knew it would be perfect for this simple piecing, basic patchwork design. And always a favorite of mine, it has a low volume background!!!
Simply Patchwork is made by breaking up the beautiful Simply Country fabrics into three groups. 6 Low Volume 3/4 yard prints, 4 Navy 1/4 yard prints, and 8 Light to Medium Blue 1/4 yard prints. And I just love how grouping these fabrics makes this Simply Patchwork design just pop!!! The prints in Simply Country are just so perfect for this patchwork as they are simple and delicate. And you know, I can't resist making a gingham binding ;)
I have had this Simply Patchwork design in my sketchbook for sometime and was just waiting for the right fabric to come along. I am so happy to see it made into a quilt. And funny thing, I wasn't originally planning this quilt to be monochromatic, but I just love how it came together!!! Isn't it just so great when you love the outcome more than the original plan. And the other thing I love about this Simply Patchwork quilt . . . it is super fast to make!!! With some strip piecing and basic four patch piecing, this quilt will whip up in no time at all.
The Simply Patchwork quilt is picnic Size and finishes at 74" x 74". And as I mentioned, there is a free PDF Download of this pattern, so you can make your own!!! Just click here and download it ;)
When it came time to quilt mine I knew I wanted to keep it soft and simple. So I opted for a very loose design in a large scale. And it doesn't get any more simple then simple meander. I think it fits the patchwork just perfect and makes it so nice to snuggle up in.
And that is my Simply Patchwork Quilt !! I hope you have enjoyed this post. Oh, and if you make your own Simply Patchwork Quilt, I would love to see it!!! You can share your quilt with me on social media using hashtags #happyquiltingwithmc and tagging @happyquiltingmc or email me a picture at happyquiltingmelissa@gmail.com. I can't wait to see your Simply Patchwork quilts!!!
Thank you so much for popping in today and sharing this new quilt finish with me. I just love simple patchwork and am so happy to have made this Simply Patchwork quilt finally pop off of the pages of my sketchbook and into snuggle goodness.
I hope you have a very Happy Quilting Day!!!

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing. It is beautiful. I guess that any quilting design would have looked good but I think you chose the right one. The meander gave a nice texture to the quilt. I think that was the first thing I noticed. This is on the top of my "squirrel" list!
