$5 Pattern of the Month - Daisy Chain!!!

 Its a new Month and a new $5 Pattern of the Month Feature here at Happy Quilting!!!  Each month, I choose one Happy Quilting Pattern that will be just $5.00  all month in my Etsy Shop ;)    And August is Daisy Chain!!!   

The  Daisy Chain Pattern can be found in my Etsy Shop in both a Paper version as well as a PDF version and both versions will be marked down to $5.00 for the month of August.   And yes, this is a quilt that uses curves, so I highly recommend picking up a set of Modified Drunkards Path Templates while you are at the shop to cut out the curved pieces.  There is a paper template in the pattern but the acrylic templates are just so nice :)   And these are the same templates used for all of my curved patterns, so if you already have the templates from another curved pattern you are all set!!  

 Daisy Chain is an intermediate skill level pattern with 6 size options and has options and is Fat Quarter Friendly.    The quilt is made with a large flower block that interlocks creating a chain with the leaves.    The pattern teaches you an awesome 3 pin Curved technique. 

Daisy Chain  is a super versatile design.   You just want to make sure that your bundle can be broken into 3 groups of Petals, Leaves, and Blooms (which are the center of the flower)  So in this quilt, I used Peaches for the Petals, Green for the Leaves, and Yellows for the Centers.   And you can always mix up two - three colors in each group as well.  Just make sure you can see the difference in the Petals and the Blooms ;)   

And one of my favorite things about this design, it works great for Christmas Bundles as well!!  Most Christmas Bundles have Red, Green, and some form of Gold or Tan . . . and that works out just perfect for this design.   I mocked up this Chrsitmas Version in Gingerbread Lane for Moda.  Isn't it just so great, a perfect fit!   I think it really gives a Holly and Ivy feel to this fun design :)
