Sneak Peak of Turnovers!!

 Today I get tot share a set of new quilts that once again are a "Sneak Peak" of one of my new Happy Quilting Patterns set to release on August 8th.  These quilts are Turnovers and they feature the adorable prints of  Primrose and Parsley for Poppie Cotton.   And ther are two quilts, because Turnovers has two options on the quilt layout.  How fun is that!!!   

Turnovers is a Jelly Roll Friendly pattern.  It also combines the jelly roll strips with an  accent fabric for the  sashing and a background.  And you know how I love puttings soft prints on a dark background, and this one was perfect for a  cowboy boot brown background to make all of those wonderful soft prints just pop and keep that adorable country feel!!  And once again, these were the perfect  "pattern test" for this new pattern and give it the whole different look of the origianal :)    

   

Turnovers is a beginner friendly design but is also one of those quilts that are pefect for any skill level.   I can tell already, this is going to be one of those great "got to" designs for baby quilts.  It is just so fun to make and whips together so fast.  I know, the interlocking design makes it look a little complicated, but really, it's just basic piecing with paying attention to placement :)  

The Turnovers pattern, like most all of my Happy Quilting patterns, has multiple size options.  This is the baby Size that finishes at at 38" x 38".  And this is the layout option 1, where the sashing strips betweent the blocks create a cross hatch look.  The fun part is, both layouts are pieced the same way, it is just simply changing the direction of the sashing strips that create the two looks. 

And here is the second layout option.  By rotating the sashing strips, we get a fun pathwork look at all of the intersections of the blocks, and the centers create a super cute patchwork square design.   To me, the first layout is a little more modern and this one is a little more traditional.  But I just love both and still can't decide which is my favorite. 

And those are my  new Turnovers quilts!   Just like last weeks sneak peak quilts, the patterns are at the printers and I will have them back next week so this new pattern (along with 5 others) will release on August 8th!!  So be sure to pop back in soon so you can make your own!!  And lucky for all of us, this is such a fun and fast design to make, you don't have to pick a favorite, you can just make both layouts.
